The intent of the Citizenship curriculum is to empower students to engage actively and responsibly in our diverse society, developing an understanding of democratic processes, rights, and responsibilities. It aims to cultivate the skills and knowledge needed for participation in modern society, fostering a sense of social justice and community involvement.

Citizenship education helps students understand how society functions at a local, national, and global level, exploring how decisions are made and the impact they have. The curriculum encourages critical thinking and debate, equipping students to address contemporary issues such as ‘What makes a fair society?’ and ‘How can individuals contribute to positive change?
